Inspiration O' The Month: Lamps

"Light it up, something good." - Public Radio

(for those of you who prefer tedium)

Lighter than Lace

The right light makes all the difference. It sets the mood, enables a task, turns scary hallways into clear paths. The entire feeling of a room can change with the flip of a switch. Tired and boring furniture can be made intriguing again just because you decided to use a different lamp, to see from a different perspective. (so, might I suggest) It's time to switch things up! Try something new! Take advantage of the care-free nature summer provides to look at what's boring and ugly with adventurous eyes. You never know what treasure you'll find hidden amongst your trash.

Happy day.
Love those PAWSibilities!

Inspiration Of The Month: Suitecases

I(dani) made this suitcase planter last year.

This year it's a wildeflower mix.

Some cute ideas no? The planter really is quite cool looking and SO easy to make. I must admit though, I'm always going to prefer using suitcases for their intended purpose: traveling. Whether it's a weekend spent at the beach, a zany road trip with friends or a dream fulfilling move to that country you've always seen yourself living in, a suitcase is most essential.

So, what are you waiting for? Get crafting, start traveling, and always dream big. Like really really BIG. The PAWSibilities are endless.

Dani's Finds: Shoes

Shoes. Shoes. Shoes. I have lots and lots of shoes. Crazy shoes. Demure shoes. Confident shoes. Practical shoes. Mostly procured from area thrift stores, clearance racks and the occasional online retailer. All the shoes below are from PAWSibilities. $2 a pair. Except for the knee boots, they were $10. (gasp.)

These were originally black. I didn't really like them that way so I painted them red using acrylic craft paint. The paint cost me about 50 cents.

Painted the green ones too.

LOVE!

Well, I hope you enjoyed ogling my PAWS.

Happy Sunday!

dannie.
